Orgies of Edo (1969)

In the tradition of JOY OF TORTURE, this film presents three stores of sadism and perversion taking place in Edo during a time of civil war. The first story is about doomed lovers, the second is about a noblewoman who likes to do it with hairy midgets and imported black slaves because of a certain incident in her past and finally the third story is about the marvel of caesarean section.

The film is set in the era of Genroku (1688-1704gg.) - The flowering of the Edo period. 3 love stories, they share the doctor to whom the heroine fall. History begins on behalf of the doctor, a witness of these events and the dreamer of Western technology ...

Graveyard Of Horror (1971)

A grief-stricken man, trying to find out what killed his wife and baby, stumbles across a doctor who steals heads from corpses for experiments. This mad scientist, named Michael Sharrington, uses these dead body parts to transmute human cells. One fateful night, Sharrington experiments on his own body. After being buried in the same cemetery he scavenges, the doctor wakes up in a terrifying state!

This Spanish-made horror flick suffers from many of the common short-comings of this type of genre; a disconjuncted plot, many awkward cuts and innane dialogues, actresses chosen for their looks more then acting ability, as well as a poor English over-dub of the Spanish screen play. The opening scene grabs your attention, but soon on "Graveyard of Horror" keeps you wondering not only what will happen next, but why what you just saw actually took place. That aside, the film does have some qualities which still can provide an attraction to the most-avid horror fan. The graveyard/castle settings provide a few atmospheric, though not chilling scenes. Best of all is the periodic use in the score of an uniquely errie whistled tune very similar to the melody of "Morning has Broken" which offers a seeming tranquil juxtaposition to the gory nature of this topsy-turvy grave robbing tale.

The Night The Prowler / Devil Woman DVD (Code Red) (NTSC All Region)

FROM THE DIRECTOR of ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW!

This satiric drama was based on a popular stage play by Australian author Patrick White. Status-seeking suburbanites Doris and Humphrey Bannister (Ruth Cracknell and John Frawley) are shocked and appalled when their adult FAT daughter Felicity (Kerry Walker) is sexually assaulted by an intruder. Humphrey is horrified by the notion that she might not be a virgin any more, while Doris insists upon sharing the gory details of Felicity's troubles with all of her friends. Felicity, however, is a plain, sad, and chunky young woman who seems almost glad to have some new excitement in her life; inspired by her attack, Felicity dons a black leather outfit and goes on a prowling career of her own, breaking into houses and attacking men in public parks. The Night of the Prowler was released in Australia under the title Patrick White's The Night of the Prowler.
16X9 RATED R

It was called Devil Woman in the US; we haven't yet found out its original Philippine title. The plot is set in motion when a group of evil landowners burn out a farmer, killing everyone on his land. Well, not quite everyone--the farmer's daughter (Rosemarie Gil) survives. Her face disfigured and distorted by her ordeal, the girl swears vengeance. Using her newly acquired occult powers, she summons an army of cobras to decimate the villains.

NN OF THE DAMNED

Authorized release! Throw your Jef film version away~

This Aussie/Western variation on the Psycho formula is set in the tiny Outback town of Gippsland in the 1890s, where travelers visiting a remote inn are being bumped off by a mysterious interloper. After a perfectly dreary hour or so, wily lawman Alex Cord solves the mystery that somehow managed to befuddle the rest of the cast -- it seems crackpot innkeeper Dame Judith Anderson and her husband have never quite recovered from the trauma of seeing their children killed by escaped convicts who once invaded their home, and they have been busily hacking up their guests ever since. The setting provides for some pleasant location photography and gives the film a unique look and feel, but the story is completely bogged down by dull pacing and lackluster performances -- except for Anderson, who is always a treat to watch, even when she's given little to work with. ALEX CORD and MICHAEL CRAIG stars!

NIGHT OF FEAR

This mini-feature offers an effective dose of terror in its own compact style. Terry Bourke's script takes an unusual approach, stripping out such niceties as characterization and dialogue to focus strictly on the sights and nonverbal sounds of its story. The offbeat approach works because the cast and crew manage to sustain the intensity necessary to pull this unusual gambit off. In terms of performances, Carla Hoogeveen does a convincing job of charting her character's descent from panic into terror as the film's horrific events pile up and Norman Yemm delivers an intense, primal turn that makes his animalistic villain a frightening force of nature. Most importantly, Bourke's direction really puts the screws to the audience, making excellent use of whiplash-speed editing, bizarre camera angles and a densely layered soundtrack to create a consistently unnerving atmosphere. In short, Night Of Fear is a potent, no-frills little shocker that is likely to delight fans of vintage horror.

Tokyo X Erotica

Year: 2001
Duration: 01:17:06
Directed by: Takahisa Zeze
Actors: Yûji Ishikawa, Takeshi Itô, Mayuko Sasaki and Yumeko Sasaki
Language: Japanese (English subs)
Country: Japan

Also known as: Tôkyô X erotika: Shibireru kairaku, Nippon Erotics: Tokyo X Erotica, Tokyo X Erotica: shibireru kairaku

Description: Tokyo X Erotica is porn movie. Like that quallfies it to be uploaded on wipfilms. The thing that qualifies this uttercrap is a fact, that Tokyo X Erotica is some romantic avantgarde porn movie with tossing some philosophy questions on the viewer. Well, at least it tries to.

People fucking are discussing if life is longer before or after death, or if living in the country is better than in Tokyo. Sometimes color is changed to B&W, sometimes the video is choppy as director's pc hardware wasn't able to process the ugly overcontrasted filters on this shit filmed on ugly digital camera. Ffs, even (I am sure) nice Tokyo looks ugly here.

Two positives: Japanese girls are nice and I have never seen water gun loaded with sperm.

Review: At the beginning of the main characters of the film are wondering - is longer: the time before birth or the time after death? In 1990, Kenji dies in the gas attack on the subway, and his girlfriend Haruka killed by a random killer. In 2002, they meet again and their love story continues.

Son of Frankenstein (1939)

"Son of Frankenstein", was the third and last in the series of horror classics to feature Boris Karloff in his most famous part as Frankenstein's monster. After the classic "Frankenstein", and "Bride of Frankenstein", this film was a fitting farewell to his unforgettable characterisation after which the Frankenstein stories were passed over to Universal's "B" movie department and resulted in lesser quality efforts with other actors playing the monster to less effect.

While the film misses the florid direction of the great James Whale who was responsible for the first two installments in the horror trilogy, "Son of Frankenstein", has much to commend it to the viewer. The story is picked up many years after the death of Dr. Frankenstein and the supposed destruction of his murderous creation. We see his son the sophisticated Baron Frankenstein (Basil Rathbone) arrive with his family to finally claim his inheritance and occupy Castle Frankenstein. There he finds he and his family

The Weekend Murders (1970)

Agatha Christie mysteries and Italian gialli may have some things in common, but they're also very different. First off, gialli are really "mass-murder mysteries", whereas only a few Agatha Christie mysteries really fit that description(the most famous being her seminal "Ten Little Indians"). Moreover, Agatha Christie mysteries are very mannered and British while Italian gialli are very over-the-top and usually chock-full of lurid sex and violence. This movie is impressive, therefore, because it manages to successfully combine the two styles (much like Mario Bava's "Five Dolls for an August Moon"). It has a typical Agatha Christie set-up with various grasping relatives gathered at a remote country estate to hear a will, but like a giallo, it's also full of ridiculously shifty characters, sexual perversity, OTT crash-zooms, and overly dramatic music.

Perhaps, even more impressive, it's one of the few gialli to successfully incorporate (completely intentional) black comedy. It really plays with the conventions of the mystery genre--the first person killed is the butler (so he didn't do it), and the Scotland Yard detective (Lance Percival) turns out to be an inept bumbler while the thick-looking local bobby (Gaston Moschin) turns out to be quite clever. Being a giallo though, it also has certain stock "giallo-esque" characters like an impotent, virginal mama's boy (Chris Chittel) who likes fake bloody suicides and a black woman(Beryl Cunningham)who is married to one of the family members and (naturally) is the most sexually predatory of the characters--with the possible exception of the saucy maid (Orchidea DeSantis).

This has a great cast including Eveline Stewart, Giacomo Rossi-Stuart, and American Peter Baldwin who were in any number of 60's and 70's Italian films. Gaston Moschin (who is GREAT here) was usually in Italian crime thrillers, but also had an important part in the "The Godfather 2". The sexy Beryl Cunningham was in "Crimes of the Black Cat", and the even sexier Orchidea DeSantis played all kinds of sexy roles in all kinds of sexy Italian movies. Even the English actors are familiar--Lance Percival was a big comedy actor in Britain at the time and Christopher Chittel was in another movie very much like this called "Erotic Inferno", except that it was a softcore porn movie with Mary Millington! (VERY few actors have ever appeared in both Italian giallo thrillers AND Mary Millington sex comedies). This has just received a superior release by Code Red. I would definitely check it out.

Super Weapon DVD (Code Red) (NTSC All Region)

Jim Sotos direct a documentary on Many styles of Martial Arts. Played in 42nd Street in 1976!

For the serious Martial Artist, "The Super Weapon" is the documentary that boasts no trick photography or special effects. You'll see in great depth the difference between the various kinds of fighting such as Karate, Kung Fu, Jui Jitsu, Tae Kwan Do, Tai Chi, Aikido and others. Tasks that appear supernatural to us are mere control tools in the hands of masters.

i first seen this film over 20 years ago..the film shows many styles grappling ,boxing , wing chung karate mostly.particularly enjoyed a scene where a black belt took blows to the neck and groin , without so much a a grimace !!!! the jujitsu is also very good in the video... can't remember the stars ,but it was a very 70's theme .. i would buy it to-day on DVD , but sadly it isn't available.. the beta max tape i had is worn out , though i have a friend who has a copy on VHS , however picture quality is low. i seen it along with kings of the square ring , another good one on the same lines to watch out for..i have that one ..luckily.

The Little Shop of Horrors (1986)

Seymour Krelborn is a nerdy orphan working at Mushnik's, a flower shop in urban Skid Row. He harbors a crush on fellow co-worker Audrey Fulquard, and is berated by Mr. Mushnik daily. One day as Seymour is seeking a new mysterious plant, he finds a very mysterious unidentified plant which he calls Audrey II. The plant seems to have a craving for blood and soon begins to sing for his supper. Soon enough, Seymour feeds Audrey's sadistic dentist boyfriend to the plant and later, Mushnik for witnessing the death of Audrey's ex. Will Audrey II take over the world or will Seymour and Audrey defeat it?

And what a great concept it was! The original version was lame, along with the ending leading to disappointment. Frank Oz obviously felt the same, and decided to do a beautiful, SF musical version you see before you! Rick Moranis stars as a nerdy guy who works in florist's shop, and has a crush on a beautiful girl named Audrey. He fantasizes about being happily married to her in a suburban home, with a picket fence, and two adoring children.

Five Man Army DVDr (Warner Archives) (NTSC All Region DVDr)
Where this army leads, action fans – especially Spaghetti Western fans – will want to follow. Set during the Mexican Revolution, The Five Man Army is a niftily executed tale of mercenaries who, on behalf of rebel forces, take on a mission to rob a trainload of gold. Make that a suicide mission, because this train is heavily armored; armed with troops, cannon and machine guns, and traveling a route guarded by more soldiers. Peter Graves, then known for his role as mastermind Jim Phelps in TV’s Mission: Impossible, faces another odds-defying task as the Dutchman, leader of a handpicked commando squad consisting of a strongman, an explosives expert, a circus acrobat and a Samurai swordsman. Famed composer Ennio Morricone’s throbbing score amplifies the action of this ready-to-be-rediscovered film that, writes The New York Times’s Vincent Canby, is “for anybody who enjoys lean, taut suspense with no fiddling around.” All aboard!
